: Your BP is likely making heart work harder and getting thicker. The higher aortic press is causing some back flow across aortic valve.  This is NOT normal. Get home BP device use it &amp; work with Drs to get BP to 120 or less. One of the safest and fastest ways to do this is to move to the DASH eating plan. Yes.: Aortic regurgitation (leaking of the aortic valve), if severe enough, can cause palpitations and prominent pulses as well as enlargement of the heart to the point where one can see the pulsations on the chest wall.  The degree of aortic valve leaking can readily be seen on an echocardiogram.

: A consultation with a cardiologist  is warranted. Do you have a heart murmur? A normal aortic valve has 3 cusps. If yours has only 2, you have congenital aortic valvular heart disease with eventual stenosis developing. In addition your chest pains&amp; palpitations require a workup. Leakage: The aortic valve, when closed, prevents blood from rushing back into the left ventricle from which it has just been expelled by contraction of that chamber during systole.  When there is some form of abnormality to the valve there may be leakage back into the left ventricle during diastole.  Therefore, the blood is regurgitating back.

It will progress and: it is likely that significant stenosis will also develop over the next twenty years. By then TAVR will be routine and you won't have to have open heart to repair/replace the valve.

: Depending on the "mildness" may be normal.  AI progression rate will depend on cause as well as BP and lipid levels.  I would ask Dr who knows details in folks like you,  who live where you live and have listened to you for murmurs and reviewed the echo.

Probably yes: This is a condition which generally does not remain stable with time.  Depending upon the cause of the regurgitation and your age you can expect that it will deteriorate with time.

Pregnancy &amp; heart: Even corrected, Tetralogy of Fallot &amp; related congenital heart conditions can cause right heart problems. Pregnancy and delivery place unaccustomed stress on the heart, w/ markedly increased circulating blood volume. For your pregnancy &amp; delivery you should absolutely receive care in a center with "high risk" obstetrics specialists and experts in congenital heart disease. Super important! Go now!

Continue: To get periodic evaluation by echocardiograms.  Hard to say if it will or won't progress as everyone is different.  The amount of aortic valve regurgitation is not significant presently.
