As a group, these temperature-based techniques are called "termal ablation." thermal ablation techniques are routinely used in the kidney and lung and, to a lesser extent, the spine. The issue in this case is that localized control does not make much sense if the primary tumor has already spread to other locations. It is uncommon to treat tumors in more than one area, and even less so to treat them in three areas, using such targeted techniques. A far more common approach is to start with systemic chemotherapy and then "clean up" any tumors left over with thermal ablation. There are a lot of interventional radiologists in ontario who are familiar with thermal ablation. No: Metaplasia of the mucolsal cells of the stomach represents a prevancerous state leading to a malignant ulcer or diffuse areas of carcinoma.  Gastritis sympotoms have to do with acid production with benign ulceration and inflammation unrelated to precancer.  By having metaplastic cells, these should be carefully examined prior to coversion to cancer which can then invade and spread.
