Time of burial: The family can choose the date of the burial. Delaying it a day would be of no consequence.

Would seem so...: I am sorry to hear of your loss. Without a lot of details I would have to say that funerals and burials are often/usually planned for several days after death. One day should not make a difference. Discuss with the funeral director.
