i accidentally melted a plastic spatula on a burner for about a minute or two, which was made of nylon. is that dangerous to have inhaled the fumes? what does nylon break down into when melted/burned like that? should i be worried?

: It is best to avoid the fumes from plastic, styrofoam and other materials. A one time brief exposure if you are otherwise well is unlikely to cause difficulty.

Quit worrying: Small pieces of plastic from spatula are not toxic. It is food grade plastic, you can't digest it. You didn't consume enough to hurt you in anyway.

im getting mri. on pre mri form it asked about any objects in the eyes. a long time ago i had a splinter of some material in my eye. it was dark brown splinter, but superficial, the ophthalmologist used a little spatula to remove it. is x-ray needed?
