Convenience: This useful anti glaucoma drop is commonly presicribed for use at bedtime just for convenience and remembrance with a bottle at the bedside or next to the toothbrush.  It could be taken at some other time on a regular basis.  Some note that the internal eye pressure is highest in the wee hours of the morning so bedtime use gets a little extra effect at that time.

Bizarre?: I don't know about bizarre, but medicines like Xalatan (prostaglandin analogues) can cause thickening and lengthening of eyelashes, as well as darkening of the eyelid skin and iris. Latisse (bimatoprost) (a topical prostaglandin analogue) was developed because of the eyelash growth seen with the eyedrops!

my last pressure test showed my eye to be at 18, i have been on the latanoprost on and off but now after six months it jumped to 25. no optic damage and i passed the vision field test. any means for concern? should i have use the medicine everyday?

: Probably Yes, but One needs to stay with the Eye Specialist (Ophthalmologist) with emphasis on Glaucoma which can be problematic if not appropriately handled. The sooner the better.
