Not able to find: Confirmation.  I found lots of claims online that it can show up, but the botanical information i located on the content on the plant would not support that it could cause positive tests.  Poppy seeds actually do contain tiny amounts of opiates than can cause a positive test if they are consumed in enough quantity.  I do not think there is any established evidence that this can happen.

Maybe: Ground chia seeds swell up in your stomach and make you feel full with less food. Lentils are high in fiber. You also need green vegetables. That should be the mainstay of your diet. If you are not vegetarian i would add some lean meat, fish or chicken.

I wouldn&#x27;t because:: You can have all the flax ; chia you want but i&#x27;d be cautious re: zipfizz- it&#x27;s high in caffeine ; has some hazardous ingredients  such as sucralose (http://bit.Ly/1eavvqa), synthetic vit e ; high doses of Cyanocobalamin which has cyanide! (http://bit.Ly/mm1ce9)-i wouldn&#x27;t take 7500 mcg(in 3 doses zipfizz). Instead try a good b complex with methylcobalamin ; a green drink like orac energy greens.

Saw that online too: But i can find no evidence for it from any scientific source. The chemicals found in the plant do not cross-react with opiate tests.  I do not believe that it chia seeds can cause a false positive, but poppy seeds can cause a true positive for morphine.

Searching online I saw one report of someone claiming chia seeds caused then to test positive for opiates, and saw that a colleague here states chia can cause positive tests- but she didn't give a reference. I see no other evidence or reason why chia seeds should cause a false positive test.

i eat lots of green veggies, fruit, chia seeds/flax i also exercise 5x a week, drink 4 glasses of water per day. 1/2 the time i have healthy poops and 1/2 the time i have pebbles + constipation. why?

Fruits and veggies: Your diet will define the consistency of your stool.  The fruits and veggies along with the chia and flax can alter the stool.  Play detective and start to note which fruits and veggies etc you eat make it one way or the other.
