Perhaps: Benign or malignant tumors could cause headaches/pain, vision loss, proptosis (protrusion of the eye), double vision.  There are many, many more common causes for headaches and eye pain, however, and a careful history and exam by your primary provider and eye care provider can determine if studies to look for a tumor are needed or if the pattern fits better for another cause of the symptoms.

Yes!: Tumors may not present with headache if meninges or blood vessels are not involved and there is no rise in the intracranial pressure seizures usually occur when cortex of brain is affected.

Features of the mass: Patients typically have distinct signs on exam of a mass in the eye. These are typically lymphomas. Most cancer doctors would need to do an exam of some kind to confirm this diagnosis. I would ask your physician how he/she made this diagnosis.

round hard lump on my right lower eyelid, on the lacrimal duct for almost 2 months. ophthalmologist says its a chalazion. my under eye is very dry. the lump does not hurt, it has some yellow inside the eyelid. still worried it could be malignant?

: You should trust your ophthalmologist. Chalazion is easily recognized so I doubt of any misdiagnosis. Take care.

?: Did they get a biopsy?  It can be many things but malignancy is always a possibility.  Did they perform a ct scan with per a pancreatic protocol?  That would be the next step.  Hope this helps.

my son has blue nevis on his scalp.  is this more likely to become malignant than a mole?  he won't be able to monitor it on the top of his head.

Usually is benign: I am not sure how it was diagnosed but if it is truly a blue nevus it will usually remain benign or not change to cancer.  There are 2 kinds generally with common or cellular types.  The cellular type has a very small chance to become malignant but again is not bad.  However the main objective is to watch it closely and see a doctor if changes.  I hope this helped.  Good luck.

my father in law had a small tumour removed from his head which turned out to be malignant. his doctor wants to do an ultra sound of his throat - why?

What is Pathology?: The tumor was likely diagnosed by a pathologist. If it appears to have arisen from the throat, than it may be arising from the pharynx or one of the salivary glands.  An ultrasound may not be able to see that deep, and I would suggest that he undergo a CT scan of the neck, with contrast, as this can see the deep structures of the neck in better detail.
