i am a type 2 diabetic.. i have a uti.. and my doctor gave me macrobid.. and now i feel like i can't breath in too much or i'll cough...

Allergic: It sounds like you are having an allergic reaction with bronchospasm (wheezing).  You should stop the Macrobid and call your doctor.  You may need to go to the ER for an evaluation and breathing treatment if this continues.

Needs evaluation: Abnormal Menstrual Bleeding need to be thoroughly investigated in women of your age.  A detailed medical history, physical examination, pelvic examination is the basic work up and radiologic studies such as Ultrasound and CT san may be needed. 

The simple explanation for the above symptoms is due to menopause.

Possibly the Atb: Sometimes Macrobid can cause a light red discoloration to the urine. You should have a urinalysis and a urine culture. If there is blood in the urine further radiographic evaluation should be performed by your primary care physician or urologist.

Don't have one what?: If your doctor called to tell you that your urine culture did not grow out any bacteria, s/he should have informed you of next step eg whether to finish or stop antibiotic. Best to check w/your doc. The risk w/stopping now is antibiotic resistance. But of course, you balance that against risk for c diff colitis or other antibiotic induced diarrhea or just a simple yeast infection. So ask ur doc.

went to urg care, uti.  on macrobid.   culture came back contaminated.  follow up with gyne.  what are pos reasons for contamination?

Happens: But if you are getting better, don't worry over it. If not, repeating the culture may be the next step.

uti supposed to take macrobid bid, but the side effects are to much to handle. i am taking qd and i am doing fine. will it still work this way?

Once daily macrobid: usually prescribed for prevention not treatment of UTI, You can try high doses of  probiotics with the twice daily Macrobid to see if you can tolerate. make sure there is a culture and sensitivity done with each and every UTI to make sure you are not developing resistant bacteria in your urinary tract.

i have a bottle of macrobid dispensed april 27, 2012 with no expiration on it. i sense a uti burning symptoms. should i take it and for how long?

No: Medication more than a year old should probably not be used as a general principal.  More importantly, it is not a good idea to self treat.  You need at least a culture and probably a quick exam.

get utis all the time, the thing is im never sure they fully go away, have taken macrobid many time and it gets rid of it some but not fully.why?

UTI: You should be evaluated by a urologist.  You should have a urine culture and sensitivity done after stopping antibiotics for several days.  You may well have a resistant bacterial strain to macrodantin (nitrofurantoin).

been doing so good with anxiety but now on macrobid for uti, been on it for 4 days but making me a bit nautious am i allergic? or is it just anxiety

Not allergic: Nausea is an adverse reacton, not an allergy.

yesterday i finished 7 days of macrobid for a uti. 24 hrs later and i still have the urgency to go and have been going as frequently as when it began?

Repeat urinalysis: it may be that the presumed urinary tract infection is not sensitive to your antibiotic. Alternatively one would need to consider another possibility for urinary urgency.  I would recheck your urine for infection and make sure culture and sensitivity is done as well.
