Trust in new doctors: In addition to the series of answers to your previous questions, these symptoms indicate you also need a trustworthy primary care doctor -- probably a different one from the gp you previously mentioned, who you say suppressed what happened to you.   There are caring physicians available to help you.  To find a good one who deserves your trust, perhaps you can ask your friends for some names?

how can i tell if the submandibular lymph node is swollen since i can always feel mine since im slim? would it become painful or raise to a bigger size from its resting size?

: Localized Infections cause lymph nodes to swell and enlarge. They may be tender to the touch or if large enough, painful when you talk, swallow or move your head. What other symptoms are you experiencing?

my 3.5 year old son has had some swollen lymph nodes since april when he caught strep they are still enlarged ?

Doctor can re-check: Young children can have swollen lymph nodes for months, especially if they catch a cold or a strep throat every couple of months. It is important to see the same doctor, so that the same person is examining the child's neck. He can compare his exams from different visits, and can also swab the throat for strep at follow-up visits. There are few rare, bad diseases that also cause persistent nodes.

Two issues: The lymph node may be due to folliculitis if the affected area is in the vicinity of the node. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion about folliculitis without examining you. It would be prudent to see your primary care doctor or a dermatologist. 
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

i have had a swollen lymph node since early december along with post nasal drip. i still have post nasal drip, we well as the node. i went to the doctor for my drip, but she felt my neck and didn't even acknowledge my 2 nodes. nopain palpable. normal?

Sounds normal.: Lymph nodes can be enlarged with any infection or inflammation in the area of the lymph node, so having swollen lymph nodes in your neck while being congested for a prolonged period of time would be quite common. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph to see if anything bad is there like bacteria, viruses, cancers, etc.  When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and enlarges in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  You can feel them then.
