Enlarged lymph nodes: Most likely it an enlarged lymph nodes. Specially it is a little tender to touch. Nothing to worry about. It is due to a minor pelvic or urinary infection. If you have vaginal discharge or urinary increased frequency go see a physician. You might need antibiotics. If it doesn't go away after few days it must be looked at under all circumstances.

Friction & moisture: This is not an common problem is overweight individuals. Constant friction against clothing and the opposing inner thigh & the increased moisture that comes with it causes chaffing and lead to clogged pores which in turn causes bumps & boils. The discolorations suggests a chronic condition. 100% cotton linen clothing may afford some relief. Weight loss is advised. Topical medications are available.

You might be colonized with bacteria causing recurrent infections, usually staph or strep, in which case prolonged antibiotic treatment might put a stop to it. Or maybe hidradenitis suppurativa, a chronic inflammatory condition that can affect the armpits as well as groin. See your doctor, who might refer you to a dermatologist for expert advice. Staph/heat: These often start as simple infections at the base of a hair root caused by surface germs like staph. The primary goal is to get them to come to the skin surface &amp; drain. Moist heat applications can help this but they sometimes need to be cut open to drain if large. Some benefit from oral antibiotics. The harder lumps can be old ones that are in the process of healing.

Boils : Recurrent boils in armpits and groin can be due to hidradenitis . Swabs and long term antibiotics are options . Please discuss with your GP .

i've been having some mild burning pain in the inner/under side of both thighs and have noticed there are small "lumps" along this region from groin down to knee underneath the skin. are there lymph nodes in this region? what else could they be?
