A member asked:

I have a recurring purple boil on my inner thigh and harder lumps in the same area, what is it and how could i get rid of them.

Staph/heat: These often start as simple infections at the base of a hair root caused by surface germs like staph. The primary goal is to get them to come to the skin surface & drain. Moist heat applications can help this but they sometimes need to be cut open to drain if large. Some benefit from oral antibiotics. The harder lumps can be old ones that are in the process of healing.
