Possible Infection?: "c. Diff" is an infection in the colon after receiving antibiotics for your surgery.  If you have watery diarrhea, fevers ; chills you should see your surgeon or family doctor as soon as possible.

Normal: Early after a surgical procedure, the tissue under the incision feels hard for up to several weeks. Surgeons refer to this as a "healing ridge".  If the hard lump is large and visible however, there could be a collection of blood (hematoma) or fluid (seroma), both if which should resolve on their own. See your surgeon for an exam to be sure.

if heteropic ossification formed after surgery on lower back would it present as a large hard circular lump under the scar? would fb test show?

Xray/MRI: I suggest both soft tissue xrays and MRI of the surical site if there was no metal implanted in your back.

carpal boss surgery. hard bone like lump formed shortly after surgery. larger than original boss. is this likely to be bone or scaring internally? if so is there a name for the scarring? scaring on outside healthy and normal. thank you?

: Is this a return of the carpal boss or unsuccessful surgery?   What symptoms are you experiencing?    What does the hand surgeon think? Is a second opinion worthwhile?  I doubt you'll rush into another surgical procedure.

inguinal hernia. i had hernia surgery about two weeks ago, didn't lift anything, but lump and hurts like it did after surgery. is it ok?

Prob scar tissue: Scar tissue can be extra sensitive  I would suggest following up with the surgeon or your PCP to make sure not a post surgical issue

can a liposarcoma grows again in the same spot a month after surgery? dr said that he remove everything. but theres still a bump. hes a gen surgeon.

Liposarcoma relapse: Surgeons say they removed everything but what they mean is they removed everything that the naked eye can see. Microscopic cancer cells can still be present but only time will tell if it returns again. Usually if it is in the same spot and if it is growing you should definitely have this checked out.

can you remove any bleeding anal lumps by surgery?

Yes, but....: AT 43 we need to make sure the "anal lumps" are actually the cause of bleeding instead of something up inside the colon.  It is usually recommended to look in the colon with colonoscopy prior to an anal procedure on a patient over 40.  Most common "anal lumps" that bleed are internal hemorrhoids that can be treated several ways.

i just recently had a mass found at 3.7cm*3.1*3.7cm and i am truly worried. will i need surgery??

Masses bad or good?: A "Mass" doesn't mean cancer.  sometimes masses are totally benign.  Like fatty tumor or Lipomas under the skin.  Sometimes just by looking we can determine if it is a bad mass or not.  sometimes it requires testing with pathology.  Normal if there is concern scans or biopsies can be helpful

HS: If there are fistula forming, surgical procedure may be needed even if the lumps are getting smaller.  There is also a biological approved for treating this otherwise intractable condition as well. If you do not have fistula formation as yet, this new medication may be the answer. Ask your dermatologist.
