Doctor can examine: Lumps or rashes in the armpit skin of a teen or young adult can be due to ingrown hairs or blocked oil (sebaceous) glands. If a lump hurts, it may be infected and would need antibiotics or need to be cut open by a doctor, depending on how it looks. Lumps deeper in the armpit may be enlarged lymph nodes. The ER can help if one's doctor is not available.

i have small reddish lumps or spots above my armpit and it is non-itchy. what kind of rashes is that? how can i treat it?

Need more info: Dermatology is pretty visual, so it's hard to know what is going on without seeing it.  Eczema, psoriasis, and urticaria (hives) can develop around the elbows, though eczema and hives tend to be itchy.  Sometimes an irritant or mild allergic contact dermatitis can present in the same place as well.  I'd recommend seeing a dermatologist to help solve this one.

You may have a: case of Hydradinitis suppurativa .C ur doc for management.This runs in families.

See below: The lump can be do to the trauma that caused the bruise. I would not be concerned, unless your son starts developing bruises without trauma.

Warmth,Pain med, I&amp;D: You may have inflammation of a local sweat gland or hair follicle which can be quite painful. Warm compress/ heat pad to the area and acetominophen or ibuprofen for the pain might help. However there may be a collection of "pus" which may require drainage. See your doctor for this treatment.

i have a small deep lump under my skin on left armpit. i get armpit rashes often from deodorant. could it be a reaction from the deodorant?

Yes: It can be reactive to irritation from deodorant. If it persists or grows after changing deodorant mention it to your doc for an exam.

male 53, achy "dragging sensation" armpits but no swelling or lumps, mainly right armpit, sometimes left armpit too, sometimes pain on inside of arm. light rash on front of neck below beard line. could this be cervical stenosis?

Dragging sensation: This is a nonspecific symptom and not characteristic of stenosis of the spinal canal at the cervical level. My sense is there is some muscular or ligamental component to your symptoms. A careful examination of the axillae(armpits) would check for any masses or pathological lymph glands and give you peace of mind. I don't think there is any relationship to the light neck rash.
