I would suspect that: whatever was contributing to the rhomboid muscle spasm may also be contributing to some pleuritic chest pain, neck and back pain.  Rhomboid spasm is often caused by overuse of your shoulder/arm from overhead activities. These same activities may have caused some intercostal muscle strain as well as neck and back pain. Ask your provider to help sort this out especially excluding any cardiac causes.

: You need to make an appointment for mom to be evaluated.  Chest pains which are worsening should be looked at immediately.  It may be nothing more than a pinched nerve or some chest wall inflammation, but other problems can cause these symptoms, and she should have it checked out by a doctor.

The source may: be YOUR NECK at the C6-C7 level where a nerve may be pinched ...this is called RADICULOPATHY ..and your PCP may , after a hands on exam, wish to order a cervical (neck) MRI'

Other stresses-relationships, concern about pregnancy and finances can cause various physical symptoms.

See your physician.: What you are describing sounds like pain related to the muscles or bones of the ribs, which resolves with rest and over the counter pain medication. But i recommend seeing your physician who can do a full history and physical exam to make sure there is a not a different specific cause that needs attention.

See you gynecologist: It is unclear as to what is going on. You have  PCOS and this may muddy the water as to exactly what is going on. See your gyn, have a good pelvic exam and may need a laparoscopy. There are several possibilities so do not put this off. Best wishes.

No: The appendix is on the right side and not left. Do you have diarrhea ? Is the pain in the lower abd? If pain persistent and severe see your MD.
