Anemia: A low red blood cell count is called anemia. Anemia can be further classified as microcytic when due to iron deficiency, or macrocytic when due to B12 deficiency. Sometimes we have a low blood cell count from bleeding or several other disorders. Elevated platelets are called thrombocytosis. Platelets are an acute phase reactant and elevate for several primary and secondary reasons.

Need more info: About 2-3% of otherwise normal people have elevated bilirubin, usually less than 5.0 mg/dL. : All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that,your data suggests inflammation and iron deficiency. The high ferritin is a marker for inflammation as is high platelet count, Wish you good health!

i am 35 year old woman. my labs came back 135 low platelets.my wbc 3.5,rbc 4.28 ,hemoglobin 11.7,hematocrit 37.0 mch 27.3,mchc 31.6 ,rdw 13.6. my vitamin d was low what could this be causing my platelets to drop. i've been feeling weak and tired?

: Low vitamin D is a common lab result and should be treated, but is not likely related to your low platelets and low wbc. Your bone marrow is apparently not properly functional and should have a thorough medical evaluation.

spoke with doctor today regarding my blood results. she said she will refer me to heamotology. she said my platelets are higher again at 535. haemoglobin low at 105. iron borderline low. mcv low. platelets been high for 1 year. what could be wrong?

: Such findings are concerning for possible chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) and similar disorders. OTOH, you're much younger than most persons with these disorders. Don't be over worried:  most CML is easily treatable and sometimes curable with mostly non-toxic drugs. Keep your appointment with the hematologist. Good luck.
