: If the mammogram and sonogram were done at the same imaging location, certain kinds of breast cysts can resolve spontaneously. The important finding for potential breast cancer is a serious of light calcifications, which do not "disappear", and do require biopsy. It is unlikely that with the former location of the mass "known", that a tech or physician would "miss" this finding.

what is the difference between a kidney lesion and kidney mass? 4-6mm low density lesion here identified by ct scan with contrast and am worried and scared?

: All imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, mass and lesion are the same. The small size of the lesion more or less rules out a cancer.    Wish you good health!

i have 6cm area of colon identified as possible mass on ct w contrast, and innumerable low density liver lesions. is it possible the lesions are mets?

Yes, it is.: If you have colon cancer and spots in your liver, those spots are most likely due to metastatic disease. Benign liver cysts are common and can cause spots in your liver, but the radiologists can usually tell the difference. You are very young to have metastatic colon cancer, but it is possible. You may need a biopsy of the liver lesions to determine what they are. Best of luck to you.

what is the difference between a kidney lesion and kidney mass? where exactly does a cyst fall into these 2 categories? 6mm low density lesion here identified by ct scan with contrast and am freaking out. dont want to die from this?

: A kidney lesion can be a simple cyst, complex cyst or a mass. Your lesion is characterized as low density 6 mm lesion by CT with contrast so it is likely a cyst. If needed, renal ultrasound can confirm that but I doubt the necessity.

how accurate are ct scans? is it possible that the doctor could mistake my ovary for something else in a ct scan? i had one done and he said the ct scan showed a low density structure in my proximal sigmoid colon as well as a mass in my right pelvis.

Yes, : Yes, an enlarged ovary could be mistaken for a mass in the pelvis. An ovarian cyst could be described as a low density structure which could be near the sigmoid colon, but without seeing the images it is impossible to know whether this is the case. The best way to evaluate the ovaries is with transpelvic and/or transvaginal ultrasound. It may be helpful to have your doctor discuss the findings with the radiologist. The radiologist should be able to give some recommendations as to whether further evaluation with imaging such as pelvic ultrasound would be helpful or whether you should be referred directly to a surgical specialist.

See below.: This is a "lump" or tumor of tissue that does not have calcium in it.  The significance of the wording depends upon what the radiologist is describing.  Whether a tumor is a bad tumor or a benign tumor is impossible to say with only this description.

hard to say: They are describing something that isn't a mass and they don't think looks like cancer, but isn't normal either. Your best consultant in this is the doctor who ordered the mammogram, who will speak to the radiologist, and see if other tests (like ultrasound or mri) could define the problem, and/or whether a biopsy is needed.

For in the harbor: The analogy i often use is of a fog in the harbor. The thicker the fog the harder it may be to see a small dingy - but it's still there. As you move up to a speedboat or yacht it becomes easier to find. Eventually even in the densest pea soup fog one will know an ocean liner is present and blowing its horn.

A step is missing: I think. If a mammogram reveals a density, it is important to determine where it is solid or cystic. A solid mass is more suspicious for cancer. That question can often be answered by performing an ultrasound exam. You don't give your age (perhaps waiting for this more acceptable in very young) but I would like the question of cyst vs solid clarified. Consider asking for ultrasound now. Stay well!

Weight bearing: Weight bearing exercise, such as walking, is the best form of exercise to increase bone mass density.  Strength training and hypertrophic exercises can increase muscle strength and size, respectively, and may be somewhat  helpful for increasing bone mass density, but the exercise method of choice is weight bearing.  Carrying weight while walking can increase benefit.
