Calf muscle size: No.  Calf muscle size will usually increase with any exercise that involves you legs.

cpk test came back at 5675.  he states that is looks like he has lost leg and arm muscle mass and his muscles feel week and sore all the time.  everything i can find is pointing toward a muscle disease.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, elevated CPK points to muscle disease but does not provide a more specific diagnosis.

pain in leg lumps near shin bones. 36 weeks preg. losing muscle mass and weight. lumps movable. docs not sure. appeared suddenly. lots of leg pain too.

Discuss with Doc: Lumps on you legs at 36 weeks of pregnancy could be either prominent fatty collections call lipoma or from prominent veins or varicosities. Elevation of your legs should help. Both can be palpated under the skin and appear mobile. Loss of muscle mass can be from lack of activity , if you you have been slowing down. The weight loss is more of a concern and would discuss this with your obstetrician.

Strain: A strained muscle causes soreness and pain on use and takes a week or so to heal. Occasionally bumps in the lateral calf area are due to small herniations of fat tissue through the muscle. Varicose veins are another possibility. A physician would have to examine you to be sure. Muscle twitches are not commonly due to sprains and can occur spontaneously. the past few weeks my leg muscle has kept twitching constantly. its mostly on the left leg in the calf but also on the lower leg. is this normal? i only have one cup of coffee per day so i dont think its caffeine related?

Leg leg cramping: You mention that the cramping  "mostly" on the left leg, is it on the right leg?  Leg cramping can be related to several things, circulation action issues,  nerve issues (commonly from the back), mineral issues, iron, calcium, potassium, or magnesium. , blood clots, fatigue, or muscle issues. Rarely does it come from toxins?

have possible calf muscle strain. have elevated and iced nearly 24 hrs. now seeing a vein popped out running down lower leg. am i treating this right?

Blood clot: If you have calf swelling and pain, you really should be checked out to make sure you don't have a blood clot.  If that test is normal, then rest, ice and some physical therapy should allow the calf to return to normal.

If the disuse: Is secondary to cast you may have nerve damage from the cast. I would recommend physical therapy. You must get that foot and leg moving. You may want to get a baseline EMG/NCV study and of course follow up with your doctor.

Many: Can be from hypertension, increased sodium intake, injury, cardiac problems.

Mostly: upper leg muscles are responsible flexion and extension around the knee.  The gastrocnemius(calf muscles), popliteus, and plantaris can contribute to knee flexion though, and are lower leg muscles.

Roators of lower leg: The posterior tibial muscle/tendon inverts the foot. The peroneal brevis and longus muscle/ tendons evert the foot. The anterior tibial muscle tendon asists in dorstiflexion and inversion.  The gastroc-soleus muscle also has an influence on foot and ankle rotation.
