why do i have constant loose/mushy not watery stools. my diet is one large meal per day after wok @ 10pm and just beverages the rest of the day.

I think you have: largely answered the question yourself. Your diet is the problem! One meal, late at night (inactivity after eating) and probably sweetened or caffeinated beverages.  Spread out your calories, make sure you get more fiber (veggies, fruits, healthy grains (cereal/bread/quinoa), nuts. You are presenting your intestine a challenge with your current pattern and too much has to go through too fast!

hello. i am on a hormonal oral birth control (blisovi). often, i have bouts of loose/watery stools several times during the day-but the amount is usually not much. will my pill be effected?

No  : Diarrhea will not affect your birth control but you may want to consider seeing a gastroenterologist to address this digestive issue.

my 2 week old baby had lots of loose watery stools (mucousy at first): day 5 had 12 in a night. recently bms slowed to just 1 or 2 a day. today she cried hard straining & her poo was much drier and sticky. no fever but threw up a ton earlier. advice?

VIRAL GASTROENTERITI: It seems without examining you that you may be having viral gastroenteritis, you need to make sure you drink plenty fluids to prevent dehydration and give your bowels some rest
but if it persists consult your doctor as it can be due to bacterial infection like e coli.Shigela, salmonela etc.
But fluid replacement is to prevent dehydration is the key.

Give them: clear liquids for 24 hours then if doing better advance diet to bananas, rice and toast for another 24-48 hrs then back to a normal diet.  if it worsens or a fever begins contact their physician

Repeat; get checked: You can try the Imodium (loperamide) for another day. If no relief, then see your clinician again. Have you recently taken antibiotics? If so, you may have C. dificile infection and require a different antibiotic to clear the diarrhea. Hope that helps.
