Pulling teeth: I would not try to pull it out yourself. Pulling adult teeth is harder than it looks, and the tooth is often broken in the process. It can leave a piece of the tooth or root left in the socket and you will likely end up at the dentist anyway.

My : My colleagues are right.  However, i'm much more important question is why your molar is that lose?  If you suffer from periodontal disease, which is likely to cause, you must go see a dentist in order to treat it and to make sure did you do not lose any more teeth.

If : If there is mobility to the tooth one of two things are most likely happening: (1) there is a significant infection pushing the tooth out of the socket or (2) there is advanced gum disease causing significant bone loss.

Only a clinical examination with x-rays can determine the exact nature of the problem and whether the tooth can saved.

Loose teeth: Regarding the wound, it will heal on its own. Teeth falling out of your mouth indicates advanced periodontal disease. Not sure how many teeth you have left or if they have similar issues. If you want any chance of holding on to them, please see a local dentist for a consultation. In case you didn't know, periodontal disease can cause systemic problems.

Within first year: After tooth extraction, assuming (4) walls are preserved, the body will fill with blood clot, and ultimately fill in with bone. Over time, especially in the 1st year, you will see bone resorption in 2 directions (loss in height, and width). Bone thickness plays a factor in creating an ideal site for an implant and final crown. You need enough bone for the implant, and to support the soft tissue.

Unknown: Anesthesia? Experience in extracting teeth? Experience in dealing with post operative complications? Proper, sterile instruments? It would be wise to allow a professional to extract this tooth, since the risks far outweigh the benefits.

Postop care: You should have been given postoperative oral hygiene, dietary and wound care instructions. These include salt water mouth rinses every few hours and no brushing for a day or two. You should be on a soft, non-chewing diet. Peroxyl is ok but probably unnecessary. Don't brush the actual tooth extraction socket; it will heal uneventfully by itself. Good luck!

For example, when driving, working, cooking, etc., hold your mouth slightly open so that your lips do not touch.  Tell yourself &quot;mouth open, teeth apart.&quot; About chewing gum and ice.
