Allergy: You could have been exposed to something that you are allergic to. That would explain the itchiness and swollen tingling lips. It may go away on its own or if it worsens see your doctor. You may want to try an otc allergy med like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to see if it helps with the symptoms.

May have congested : Nose. Flu symptoms can include fever, chills, sore throat, cough, headaches, nasal congestion marked aching of muscles and joints ; significant fatigue. When present, nausea, vomiting and loose stools are more often seen in children. Swelling of lips isn't usually anticipated. But if lips turn purple of blue - please seek medical care asap.

Angular cheilitis: in most cases are caused by the bacteria/fungus and any type of mouth trauma. Angular cheilitis can become chronic if not treated properly and can last for a few months. See your doctor for evaluation and treatment.

: Zero risk. People are immune to new infections anywhere on the body with the HSV type they already have. Nobody with oral herpes (cold sores) ever gets genital herpes as a result -- never. Your oral herpes probably is never going to be a health problem for you or anyone else. Just avoid kissing or performing oral sex when you have a cold sore. That's all.

on sat saw tiny red bump on lip line. thought cold sore, started acyclovir pills & cream. the red bump grew, didnt burst, i popped it, long white head/pus followed by clear liquid. still no scab or oozing despite pills, how will i know its healed?

: It has been 5 days with pills and cream treatment as well. It may not scab. If the skin is all intact and no open wound from the popping, you can consider it healed.

how do i reduce inflammation in my lip caused by a pimple?

Inflammation: Ice can help with the swelling. There's a product that I like a lot for facial bruising and swelling from injections (that would work well in this case as well) called Regenica Recovery Gel, it has arnica, aloe and growth factors to help speed recovery. Ibuprofen or other anti inflammatories may help. You could also try a weak, otc steroid cream, but don't use it for more than a few days.
