Difficult case: Need to get salvage therapy.Option would be salvage with  a second allo transplant ( myeloablative or reduced intensity) or donor lymphocyte infusion can be considered. Salvage chemo and clinical trials also will be considered.

See hematologist: Can't answer here.  See a hematologist (blood specialist), get examined; find out.  Sometimes can't find out cause without evaluation of bone marrow.  Follow up with your regular doc too.

i have periannal abscess going to to surgery next week for draining. last two three days i see chill in my penile area and two feets. uti result -ve. i have an urologist appt morrow.abscess can cause?

Not sure: Not sure what you mean by "chill and two feets."  but, the peri-anal abscess is unlikely to cause anything in your penile area unless possibly swollen groin lymph nodes.  Your urologist will perform a good history and physical exam and should make the diagnosis.  Be well.

can someone tell if i am making the right decision getting my cystoscopy 2 morrow? they havent taken any imaging tests first, should i ask for that first?symptoms are cant empty bladder after urinate some is left in urethra strain push rest out?

Pancytopenia: Pan- all the 3 cell types-Wbc, RBC and platelets ./Cyto- cells/ Penia- less in number. Condition you have is pancytopenia. Bruising around your eyes is from low platelets. There are various causes for pancytopenia like few viral infections, environmental agents,medication induced,nutritional deficiencies -B12,folate,copper def., autoimmune diseases like lupus,leukemia,lymphoma. See a hematologist

i have lymph nodes appearing in neck which is under 1cm after ultra sound, all test neg hiv-mono-ebv, elevated lymphocytes do i need bone morrow biops?

Accepted Answer

Probably not: Such small lymph nodes often are normal, and if the nodes are not enlarging, that's additional evidence against a serious condition. If any sort of biopsy is needed, it would be to remove one of the nodes, not a distant site like bone marrow. May also depend on how elevated your lymphocytes are. Probably nothing more need be done now, but discuss with your doctor.

i am male 25 years old. i have small red vein all along my rib cage to my waist. i also have discoloration almost like bruising around both my eyes and some red dots around my ankles . is this a liver problem or a bone morrow problem?

Bruises: If there has been no trauma to these areas you may be dealing with spontaneous bleeding into the skin caused by bone marrow pathology including amyloidosis, liver disease, vitamin K deficiency or kidney disease. I recommend consulting a hematologist so that appropriate testing will be done.

hi.. i'm taking esomeprazole 40mg twice daily and mine is finished still waiting for the pharmacy to order mine.. took last dose of 40mg last night.. can i take pantoprazole in the mean time and go back to esomeprazole tomorrow?

Yes: These are both proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), so they work similarly.  I have had patients switch from Pantoprazole to esomeprazole the next day, and then switch back to pantoprazole on occasion. It is a good idea to wean off PPIs as soon as you can. They are safe for short term use, however long term use may cause problems, so once you are feeling better ask your Dr about weaning off of it.

: This may be a form of dyslexia where letters can be rearranged in your brain. There are tests that can be done to diagnose you and then treatment can be given. A psychologist may be able to perform these tests for you and help if this is the diagnosis. Good luck!

careful w anti-infl: anti- inflams might contribute to additional " blood thinning" Suggest that you ask doc who placed you on these meds about his concerns/avoidances
