Limited treatments: This depends on the type of leukemia and prior treatments but often when leukemia recurs after a bone marrow transplant the treatment options are limited. In many situations the treatment is focused on controlling the leukemia and symptoms since cure is rare at that point. This is something that should be discussed with the transplant physician.
