Not wise: Lexapro (escitalopram) and alcohol are not a good mix and it's also risky w/ Advil - You can expect to be dizzy, drowsy, generally feel bad, weak and confused. There are some risks of internal bleeding w/ the combo pills. Find other choices - discuss w/ Dr and/or druggist honestly and intelligently.

FDA says 3,200mg/d: Of course, i can't vouch for australia where you live, so you really need to ask someone local to you. But in general, you can get good info at www.Drugs.Com (free) or www.Epocrates.Com (free w/registration or pay for extras). Other considerations are your stomach & kidneys. Despite fda max dose, some w/sensitive stomach eg ulcers or chronic kidney disease can't tolerate higher doses.

Ibuprofen/Lexapro: There is no contraindication from taking both together, given that you do no have other medical concerns (gastric ulcer, etc).  If your cramps are debilitating, you might consider asking your gyn provider about low dose oral bc, which can control the hormonal components of your menstrual cycle, and significantly diminish cramping.

Acetaminophen: Would be a better alternative, ibuprofen interacts with lexapro, (escitalopram) can increase the risk of bleeding, also to preserve the kidney function given that you have a single kidney. Use RICE, Rest, Ice Compresses and Elevation to help your ankle pain and swelling, if not improving, see your doctor, good luck

: At your age and history of hypertension, I would recommend acetaminophen (tylenol) as needed first before using ibuprofen. Episodic use of NSAID is still risky than taking acetaminophen although ibuprofen is more active. If acetaminophen is not helpful, taking aspirin 325 mg with food as needed is safer than ibuprofen or naproxen if you have a strong stomach.
