Change therapy: Testosterone injections are the least desirable form of treatment but the cost is less.  It would be preferable to receive the hormone through the skin without use of a needle.  The blood levels do not fluctuate as they do with injections.

started testosterone shots. is there anything i can do to reduce soreness after the shot? it hurts pretty bad and lasts a few days.

Testosterone: It is not common for patients to continue to have pain from testosterone injections.

Who is giving the injection?
Where is the injection going? Should be your buttocks.
How often is the injection given? Most often it is 200 mg every two weeks. You might be better off with 100 mg every week.

im on androderm (testosterone) patch 2mg can i still get a cortesone shot for heel pain im 48 male

There : There is an interaction between Androderm (testosterone) and systemic steroids.  It doesn't mean you can't have the shot, but it would depend on which steroid is being injected (a soluble steroid is gone from the body in a few hours and is less likely to cause an interaction with the Androderm (testosterone) patch).

Whoever is planning on giving you the shot should consult with whomever has prescribed the Androderm (testosterone) patch.

Yes: But it's also normal for shots to be painless - it all depends upon recipient of injection. There are several areas where testosterone (or anything else for that matter) can be injected as well as areas where nothing should be injected so consider changing injection sites. i am on testosterone shots. in the last week my right calf and foot have become swollen. is this a normal side effect ?

No: This is not normal. Testosterone can put you at higher risk for developing blood clots. A blood clot in the deep veins in your leg can cause swelling. These can be potentially dangerous. You need to see a doctor.

can testosterone cream be applied to the scrotum to enhance absorption?  will that hurt the testes more than applying a stronger dose on a leg or arm?

NO and YES!: The directions are very clear ! do not apply except where directed. Lots of potential problems.Please follow rx directions!

i'm 18 years old and i still don't have a full course facial hair but in other parts of my body like my legs and pubic area, i quite have a lot of hair there. does it mean i have problems with testosterone or hormones?

: It means you need to wait a bit more is my guess. I would compare your hair status to that of other male relatives when they were your age to get a reference point for you family hair patterns.  Very unlikely due to low or too many hormones.

See a doctor: Your description suggests you are retaining fluid. Your history of high blood pressure puts you at risk for heart and kidney disease. Please see a doctor ASAP.

my 10months son had a procedure a month ago q53.9 icd code & had a testosterone injection as he was diagnosed with hypospadias. now i think i  see side effect of body hair growth especially on his legs and private part. should i be worried or?

Testosterone effect: Q53.9 was inguinal hernia repair. Testosterone likely given because surgeon wants penis to be larger to facilitate hypospadias repair. Hair growth, likely more like fluff is expected side effect of hormone. I prescribe 2mg injections monthly  for 1 - 4 injections, in my patients, depending upon response. Would not prescribe more than 25 mg per dose in 10 month old.

i had an episode of pituitary apoplexy in end feb 2020. lh, fsh and testosterone are very low. the rest of the hormones seem to be ok per the blood tests.
i have patchy hair loss on my legs.
please advice?

: Pituitary apoplexy a year agin February 2020. I presume you had MRI and blood tests at that time to make the diagnosis. Did they find a pituitary tumor?
You may have symptoms of hormone deficiencies as all major hormones can be affected when one has pituitary apoplexy. You need to consult with a specialist in Hormone optimization and have an evaluation and more testing.  Hair loss is a symptom.
