Otitis: You may have otitis externa or otitis media, an infection of your external ear canal or middle ear. Go to your md for a checkup so they can look in your ear with a scope and see what is going on, possibly treat you with a short course of antibiotics if necessary.Good luck.

Fluid in ear: You are experiencing symptoms of serous otitis media, a condition in which  fluid  secreted by the mucous membranes of the ear canal  which gets trapped behind the ear drum.
This is caused by swollen membranes in the sinuses and eustachian tube which block the drainage of the fluid into the mouth.  Prescription nasal steroids can clear this condition.  Seek medical attention.

hi all i was cleaning my nose with saline water and water came out of my left ear, its is blocked and im feeling pain. could zs be serious ?

Perforation: When cleaning the nose with mouth closed and with pressure, this can open the eustachian tube and indeed although not often can cause fluid to go up to the ears. For the water to come our of the ear, there has to be a perforation in the tympanic membrane which may not be new since the pressure allowed water to come out but with the acute pain, have it evaluated by md or ent.

Sounds like you have: a wax build up in that ear. Go to see a health care professional to flush your ears and clean them for you. Or buy and use an over the counter ear was removal solution. Do not use Q-tips!

Eustachian tube: Sometimes the eustachian tube between the back of the nose and the middle ear is not opening and draining the way it should.  Drinking more water can help thin secretions and improve the popping.

May be simple: If the problem is truly water in the outer canal, a simple 1:1 solution of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol into the canal can help to promote drying and prevent infection ("swimmers ear"). However, this duration makes wax plugging, middle ear fluid, or other causes more likely; you should have the ears checked out.

Otitis externa: You may have done a few things, one is that you may have softened wax to the point that it is blocking your ear canal, but usually that isn't as painful as you are reporting. You might have also irritated your ear canal and provoked what is commonly called swimmer's ear. This is when the ear canal gets an infection, causes swelling, pain, and trouble hearing-have your ear checked by a doctor.
