Optimization medicin: Plus lifestyle changes (walk even daily 30 mins, eat as much of a MEditerranean diet as possible, and de-stress = meditate).  Given your LBBB, some plaque buildup and possible decrement in LVEF, make sure you are on the "holy water"= asprin 81mg, betablocker, preferably Coreg, (carvedilol) ACE inhib, statin.  This combo + heart healthy lefstyle ought to stave off heart disease and hopefully reverse low output

Both: The problem. Is diastolic dysfunction with preserved ejection fraction which is commonly associated with left ventricular hypertrophy from any cause. Exercise intolerance is a hallmark of this condition as it worsens with increasing heart rate. Clinical conditions associated with this condition include hypertension,diabetes cardiomyopathy ,etc

Repeat ecg: Would suggest repeating the ecg before jumping to any conclusions. Lead placement is critical in getting an accurate ecg.

ECG : Left bundle does not necessarily mean there is significant pathology present. Don't get nervous, your cardiologist will evaluate for you.

had a bi ventricular icd implanted after diagnosis of stage 3 cgf caused by lbbb & severe dcm. i have improved and my ef is now 25%. i'm 63. prognosis?

: SA node is the point of initiation of the heartbeat. 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree AV block refers to increasing severity of conduction block at a point further along the conduction system. Left bundle branch block refers to a block of the two left branches further along the conduction system. The system is like a telephone line ending in right and left branches; the left branch splits again.

i have been diagnosed with a lbbb but yesterday had an ecg and the results said "nonspecific intraventricular block has replaced lbbb. minimal criteria for anterior infarct are now present." is this better or worse? 50 yr old female?

: That electronic reading is commonly seen and the significance of those findings needs to be based on your medical history, especially cardiovascular health. If you are at risk of coronary heart disease by risk factors (family history, social history, history of hypertension or dyslipidemia, etc.) and you have cardiac symptoms such as chest pain, dyspnea, etc. those findings could be significant.

can lbbb be reverted?

Often permanent: I have only seen it once in a patient who developed LBBB with a viral infection/myocarditis and several weeks following resolution of the illness, the LBBB also resolved. Otherwise, al other cases so far have been "permanent finding." it is not a dangerous thing, just a bit difficult to interpret when you are actively having issues with your heart such as a heart attack. Worry not anita. Good luck.

No: Left bundle branch block is an abnormality that could make ekg interpretation difficult.

: You should be evaluated by a cardiologist especially if you have risk factor(s) for cardiovascular disease such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, autoimmune disease, etc.
