: Check to make certain it was read by a real person and not the machine, Assuming the put the EKG leads on correctly and you were not ill from anything and have no family history of early heart disease (women before age 60) and your history, physical exam and labs were normal just check with your GP as the ER likely suggested.

Automated ECG: The automated ECG interpretation that appears on a 12 lead ECG printout must always be viewed with a grain (or two) of salt. The best person to evaluate your ECG is your doctor. Period. The machine is famous for misinterpretation. Go see your doctor. Have a history and physical done. Then have him/her look at your ECG.

: It means that there are changes on your EKG that would reflect a prior heart attack involving the lower part of the heart. It may or may not be true that you had a heart attack in the past. An echocardiogram would show if there is a motion issue in that part of your heart and what your heart function is. This would be a good test to have next so see a cardiologist. Good luck!

: The interpreter is commenting on the prominent size of Q waves in limb leads 3 &amp; AVF which can be findings in a scar in the inferior wall of the left ventricle.  However, to diagnose a probable old inferior wall infarction ( scar) one would have to also see a prominent and wide Q wave in limb lead 2, the other limb  lead ( in addition to 3&amp;AVF) reflecting the inferior wall of the left ventricle

Clinical correlation: Basically your ECG likely shows low voltage in the anterior precordial leads, which may be secondary to left ventricular hypertrophy, anterior infarct pattern, or secondary to body habitus. SO since your have had an echocardiogram and a CT angiogram, both of these tests would be able to corroborate if ECG is consistent with "anterior infarct" or not, I suggest u ask ur cardiologist to correlate.
