i am having lami &foraminal decompression  for the burning pain inleft leg.
what is? and what is done? have burning pain in leg for 8 months

The pinched nerve(s): Are released by removing the back wall of the spinal canal( in which the cord is located)
{ie laminectomy to allow removal of the disc that has slipped out}, while foraminotomy (or f. Decom.) is the widening of the canal in which the nerve is located {as it comes out from the cord}, by removing bone from  around the nerve, and this should relieve your leg pains.

ever since my lami at l4/5 last dec. i get involuntary leg jerks on my left leg. lft s1 nerve root is currently compressed, could that be the cause?

Yes: This may gradually improve but a nerve injury may take a year to resolve.

Alternate level: You may be experiencing pain from a herniated disc at a different level from your surgery. See your spine surgeon in order to illicit further.

Possibilities: In addition to pain management, especially if it's not helping, i would talk to your surgeon about getting new imaging. I would consider getting dynamic xrays to rule out any new instability. I don't know if MRI would add much if you aren't having leg symptoms.

The effectiveness: is about the same with or without the third dose.  As well, in the future it would be more effective to seek a consistent contraceptive plan with your doctor's help.

It depends: We can get all the vit. D we need from sun exposure. Those who live far from the equator can not get d from the sun in fall ; winter but where you live it is possible to get d from the sun year-round. But if you don&#x27;t spend much time in the sun or use sunscreen then d would be beneficial. Oral contraceptives: Althea is a low dose contraceptive pill.  It may take 3 cycles of pills for your body to get used to it, be patient.  Do not skip any pills as you run the risk of becoming pregnant.  Take as prescribed.  After 3 months, see your doctor if you are still having a problem.

Preconception Care: Take Folic Acid at least 400 mcgs daily. No recreational drugs, alcohol or nicotine in any form. Exercise regularly. See a doctor specially if you have risk factors like medical illnesses such as Diabetes, High blood pressure, Lupus or any genetic disorder in the family. Eat healthy and start your pregnancy with an optimal weight.
