Popping =loose : something is loose. You may feel it in the back of the knee but it could be Cartilage or the kneecap. You were needed an evaluation from your physician , x-rays perhaps other imaging to clarify this

Possibly: The fluid that accumulates is painful because of the pressure.  The joint capsule if weak, can burst, then you get pain into your calves.Be sure your DX is baker's cyst .U/s can confirm.  See your dr! treatment consists of aspiration, possibly injecting a healing agent, but especially treating the underlying condition. See you dr!

More info. needed: It's difficult to answer your question with that limited amount of information. The most common cyst around the knee is in the back (popliteal area), called a baker's cyst. It can be a sign that there is a problem within the joint (arthritis, cartilage tear, etc.). Bursitis can occur around the knee, but usually outside the joint. Consider another visit to your doctor for an exam and more koptions.

Get examined!: Your symptoms suggest patellofemoral( kneecap) pain. Your 'cyst' may be causing the pain in the back of your knee ( popliteal/ Bakers' cyst ).Not sure if your 'partial' ACL injury is causing symptoms or not without a thorough examination( it can cause cysts in the knee joint occasssionally.) Depends: Least likely cause is the bakers cyst as these are usually asymptomatic. The only way that a varicose vein could be felt as a lump is if it has clotted off in which case it usually would also be very painful. Therefore this could be a thrombosed varicose vein. Possibility of tumor can not be discounted as it is included in the differential.

Inflammation: Your knee is inflamed. See a doctor. Consider lifestyle changes to address underlying inflammation. Try anti-inflammatory foods; avoid inflammatory food. Eliminate toxic exposures. Exercise judiciously--isometric exercises to begin. Progress to passive, then active, range of motion exercises, strengthening and endurance exercises. Read "Foods That Fight Pain" by Neal Barnard, MD.

sudden back of knee pain feels stiff/swollen after squatting/sitting, goes away just was fast. no injury. no warmth/bruising. days with no pain then comes back. research seems symptoms like bakers cyst, bursitis. hope no dvt since pain isn't constant?

Popliteal pain: You did mention many of the significant possibilities . May also be due to meniscus tear, tendinosis. Since there is concern for DVT, and especially if you are on birth control pills would get ultrasound- that can evaluate for DVT and Baker's cyst, effusion( fluid)  For meniscus tear,  tendinosis  need MRI.   Follow up with  MD

Left Side Pain: Have you had your back checked?  All this sounds like it may stem from the nerves from the spine.  I would see an orthopod spine specialists or neurologist.
