Sudden back of knee pain feels stiff/swollen after squatting/sitting, goes away just was fast. no injury. no warmth/bruising. days with no pain then comes back. research seems symptoms like bakers cyst, bursitis. hope no dvt since pain isn't constant?

Popliteal pain: You did mention many of the significant possibilities . May also be due to meniscus tear, tendinosis. Since there is concern for DVT, and especially if you are on birth control pills would get ultrasound- that can evaluate for DVT and Baker's cyst, effusion( fluid) For meniscus tear, tendinosis need MRI. Follow up with MD
