Knee, hip, back: If the thigh problem is immediately above the knee this could be a knee problem (cartilage, bakers cyst, joint problem). Knee pain rarely radiates up the leg. Anything higher up is unlikely to be knee. This could also be referred pain from the hip or back.  A good physical examination by someone experienced with these problems should give you the answer.

Many possibilities : Hi there!  First of all you should call your physician quickly. Unilateral or one sided leg swelling one would be concerned about a blood clot or possibly a burst cyst. Weight gain with swelling could be a sign of heart failure but unlikely in your age range. The other possibility is to rule out hypothyroidism which can also be associated with weight gain, swelling, fatigue and throat fullness.

Well: Sounds like you have had this knee seen by a few doctors. I would suggest you return to your primary doctor and start over. Not right here for your symptoms. Be persistent until a diagnosis is found

A few can...: The posterior knee injury with resulting fluid collection, formation of a large cyst may cause impingement on the tibial nerve supplying the foot.
Also, while injuring the knee, one can have a back injury affecting the sciatic nerve supplying the entire leg.

Yes : A hyper extension injury can cause a stretch to the nerve behind the knee and that can cause numbness. Usually, however, the nerve will recover but it can take many months.

Nervous Overload: It is hard to know if the foot is connected to the chest symptoms. The lower extremity nervous overload sounds like you have back issues with radiculopathy/sciatica. The chest pain part i will leave to a physiatrist/neurologist to put together. Dr rich blake.

: Either an experienced family Dr, Internal medicine Dr, Orthopedic Dr or Neurologist would be able to evaluate your symptoms. Given these symptoms, a careful physical exam and history  plus MRI exams of the knee and cervical spine might best clarify the underlying causes of the symptoms.

Unlikely : Unless this causes a major change in your gait i would look for another cause. I would look for musculoskeletal causes, vascular causes and neurologic causes. Your evaluation would be directed in these areas.
