A member asked:

Pain in right upper thigh slightly abv knee (inner side) and calf with foot numbness on and off and extreme knee pain when sitting, no clots, ideas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Knee, hip, back: If the thigh problem is immediately above the knee this could be a knee problem (cartilage, bakers cyst, joint problem). Knee pain rarely radiates up the leg. Anything higher up is unlikely to be knee. This could also be referred pain from the hip or back. A good physical examination by someone experienced with these problems should give you the answer.
