bladder stone. can it be seen and removed by cystoscopy?

Yes.: Bladder stones can be visualized by cystoscopy. Stone removal, however, is more involved, requiring a procedure called cystolithalopaxy. It is similar to a cystoscopy, but requires general or spinal anesthesia since a larger rigid scope is required, and instruments to break up the stone may be needed. Very large stone may not be amenable to cystolithalopaxy, and require surgery.

i have seen urologist. wanted to do a cystoscopy. i wanted something less invasive. i need to see in detail. urethra vagina bladder rectum kidneys. narrowing urethra or stone or blockages.also any prolapse. bladder etc. what imaging test can i ask4?

4 mm stone in ureter . symptoms bladder pain and spasms since early oct. on vesicare (solifenacin). how long shd i wait before cystoscopy? will it pass with water?

6 weeks: It is always in your best interested to pass a stone on your own, but it is not good for your kidney to struggle to pass the stone for more than about 6 weeks.  With the bladder symptoms it is probably all the way down to the bladder, but sometimes the last part can be the hardest for the stone.  Unfortunately, drinking lots of water does not help to push out the stone.

cystoscopy showed minor irritation. no uti. could this be from a kidney stone i passed about 8wks ago? what could cause irritation in my bladder?

Bladder Irritation: The findings on cystoscopy that you describe could definitely be from a kidney stone that you passed.  You can also have bladder irritation from certain foods you eat or medications you take.

hi , iv passed a small stone a few months ago and  since had pain in penis before urinating and slight burn at the end ,done cystoscopy ,nothing found?

Traumatic Urethritis: Pain in penis before and after voiding since passing a stone might be due to some trauma to the lining of the penis causing a urethritis that just wasn't seen on cystoscopy. Taking AZO(phenazopyridine) OTC should relieve the pain and "break" the pain cycle. It will turn your urine orange. Do not use if you have G6PD deficiency. If the problem persists reevaluate with your urologist.

asympotmatic microscopic hematuria. 2yrs. had negative cystoscopy. can u have kidney stones with no symptoms? how is it treated? should i b worried?

Possible: you could have small stones or gravel
that you might be passing or you could have a benign condition called Ig A nephropathy which gives rise to some blood and protein in urine without any other symptoms
it might be a good idea to see a kidney doctor to evaluate kidney function to make sure it is normal

i had a cystoscopy & a lithotripsy done the same week for a 5mm stone. should my penis shaf still hurt and burn sometimes when i urinate. medications, ?

Yes: Lithotripsy pulverizes a stone but you still have to pass the sand like sediment. Instead of passing a 5mm stone, you are passing very tiny particles. This will cause pain and burning. You can also develop an infection after the procedure. Talk to your urologist if the problems continue.

52 years old w/ a history of kidney stones. 4 mm stone in left kidney, 3 mm stone in right. blood in urine. minor discomfort. cystoscopy performed last may for similar symptoms. can a stone cause bloody urine and pain while still in kidney?

: Yes. Suggest you see a Urologist who will try to find the cause and type of the stones and advise what needs to be done. In the meantime drink plenty of water. Good luck.

Reason for hematuria: Since you are on Coumadin for AF, it is possible that the bleeding is related to the use of this medication.  You need to talk to your cardiologist. Hecan check your PT to be sure that your dose of Coumandin is correct, and he may offer a different medication.  The urologist can tell you if there are other causes that need to be evaluated
