i (19f) am having intense pain during urination and intercourse. i am aware of two large cysts on each of my ovaries, but doc said it's not those. urine cultures are neg for uti and kidney infection. any thoughts on what's wrong???

: It is possible that you may have endometriosis ,depending  on how large the ovarian cysts are you should try a birth control pill for 2 to3 months and see if your symptoms improve.

UTI lower back pain: Lower back and pelvic pain is completely possible due to urinary tract infections.  Your kidneys are located in the lower back region.  The ureters drain the urine down to the bladder that sits in the lower pelvis.  Severe infections of any of these organs will cause pain along that pathway.

Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a chronic bladder condition resulting in recurring discomfort or pain in the bladder or surrounding pelvic region. People with IC usually have inflamed or irritated bladder walls which can cause scarring and stiffening of the bladder

Flank pain: Hi, muscle spasm, Rib pain, inflammation of membrane around the lung, lung inflammation, Radiculitis , injury to the costovertebral junctions and Retroperitoneal fibrosis are some possibilities amine others.

Endometritis: There are changes associated with this condition that may predispose to UTI as a complication, but endometritis does not cause UTIs. See your gynecologist.

Probably normal: Ultrasound images of kidneys are often described with the terms "mildly" this or that. In fact, renal anatomy varies widely and many kidneys naturally have a pelvis (collecting system of the kidney that may extend outside of the kidney) that is simply more generous (translation, mildly dilated) than those of other kidneys. Don't worry unless you end up with other infections.

what could feel like kidney infection but isnt? dull, burning like pain in left back side under ribs and above butt. urine was positive but culture was negative for uti. been going on two weeks. normal ct of pelvis/abs and norm vaginal ultrasound?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It may be musculoskeletal pain. Try regular aerobic exercise. Raising core body temperature through exercise will improve strength and flexibility of muscles. Drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.  Wish you good health!
