Not always: Gallstones that are not causing symptoms and were just incidentally noted don't need any kind of intervention emergently. However, if there is nausea, abdominal pain, you should seek care. Follow a low fat diet to minimize symptoms if you have them. Gallbladders squeeze after a high fat meal and a stone can wedge into the neck of the gallbladder, causing pain and sometimes emergency surgeries.

Depends: many people have gallbladder stones but no symptoms. If your husband is without symptoms, no need for surgery at this time. Best to discuss this with your doctor. Depends: Thickened gallbladder wall is often associated with edema, ischemia and infection in the gallbladder.  If you are truly symptom free, then a follow up ultrasound to monitor the thickness is indicated. Removing the diseased gallbladder is the best therapy. A diseased gallbladder carries risk for life threatening complications. The surgery to remove gallbladder is low risk.

i have gall stones, very small but multiple stones, had 3 attack in 6 months. shall i go for surgery or can i wait if they flush out automatically.

See a surgeon.: if you've already had three attacks, it is likely that they will continue, it perhaps both in frequency and discomfort. I would recommend that you see a surgeon to discuss the pros and cons of proceeding with a cholecystectomy at this time. It is likely that surgery will be a good option for you. Good luck.

Need more info: How did you find out your gall bladder is "inflated"? Are you having pain? What imaging was done? If you don't have gallstones or pain related to your gallbladder, there is no need to have it removed surgically just because it is "inflated" or enlarged. If you have an inflamed gallbladder, also known as chronic cholecystitis, you should talk to your doctor about other treatment possibilities.

Not likely.: This is a relatively big stone. I have seen stones like this pass but it is very painful. Urologists are using lasers or ultrasound to help break up the stones to make them smaller so they pass without difficulty. I suggest you talk to a urologist and see what they have to offer.

Can be observed : Although surgery is required for gall stones , could be observed if there is no symptoms , actigall (ursodiol) is will dissolve cholesterol stones , need to use all the time , had several side effects besides expensive , surgery is best option , is safe ;has  low risk ambulatory procedure . You decide.

can 9mm stone in kidney pipe come out without surgery? i have one in my kidney pipe .please b sure with answer..

It likely will come: Small stones(under 10mm) can come out  but often cause much pain(colic) while drifting down towards the urinary bladder. Drink lots of liquids, that might facilitate its exit. If you experience a colic be sure to have some pain medicine at home and easy access to your urologist, who is probaly looking after you at present(otherwise get one).
