Chest pain: chest pain with shortness of breath or difficulty catching your breath can be a cause for concern. Do you have asthma, heart history or history of pneumonia? Do you have a risk factor for heart disease like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoking? Have you been  in a car or plane for over 3 hours. As a female, are you on birth control pills. . If no improvement, goto the ER.

?asthma: Is she wheezing when she breathes?  She should be checked for asthma, which needs to be treated with medication.  Also she may have what is called somatic dysfunction of the rib cage. Must get checked: A guy who has chest pains when having sex, especially with trouble breathing, should be thoroughly checked out by his primary care doctor and a cardiologist before doing anything physically exerting again. The idea is to rule out heart disease that might lead to a heart attack during certain activities.

Allergic reaction: A stinging insect or fire ant can cause anaphylactic reactions and usually are accompanied by a rash of some sort. Did you get bitten? If not, other causes needed to be investigated. See an allergist.

Don't risk it: Do not risk those symptoms, you should be urgently evaluated for the coughing up blood and chest pain. Without knowing much about your medical history of family history, it would be a safe bet to go to an emergency room immediately and be further evaluated by an emergency physician. It is not worth sitting on it and having a poor outcome.
