?asthma: Is she wheezing when she breathes? She should be checked for asthma, which needs to be treated with medication. Also she may have what is called somatic dysfunction of the rib cage. This is treated with osteopathic manipulative treatment (omt). The academyofosteopathy.Org web site has a doctor finder to locate a practitioner near you.

Various things: "chest pain" is a relatively common complaint in kids. A consultation with a physician is recommended. Based on the nature of the pain and its history, various things can be looked into, like asthma, allergies, gastro-esophageal reflux, musculosceletal pain, heart conditions (less likely), anxiety.
