Accepted Answer

Sure: Voluntarily diet choices can be pursued by any individual. I would be careful with medication effects on any new diet.  One needs to seek urgent medical attention if ketosis occur as medical condition.  Narcolepsy itself does not cause ketosis.

Accepted Answer

None 100% of time: The caffeine and stimulation can cause heart rhythm problems and some associated deaths have occurred. The vitamins are urinated out if in excess, so do not really 'hurt' the brain. Should never exceed TWO in a day for safety -- and to avoid bankruptcy!

Accepted Answer

General comments: Brain functions primarily on oxygen and glucose metabolism, but can substitute ketone bodies if necessary, and these come from metabolism of triglycerides (medical food Axona).  Brain does not metabolize proteins for energy.

Accepted Answer

It depends: There is no definitive answer; some people will respond better to one ; some better to the other- it depends on your individual constitution. Both are among the best general tonics ; have a wide range of benefits. I recommend ashwagandha to nearly all my patients; I have less experience with schizandra. 
Consider trying each for a month to see which is best for you but it's ok to use both as well.

Accepted Answer

Sleep: I would wonder about sleep hygiene and/or medications/drug use, like thc, and diet. Obviously also needs a medical evaluation.

how much is my brain damaged if i have been addicated to caffeine for 10 years? ex. i drink energy drinks and pop on a daily basis if i don't i can't think or wake up

Accepted Answer

Probably no damage: It is conceivable that extraordinary quantities of caffeine could produce brain damage, but not likely.  Excessive use or "addiction" may cause problems, even possible brain changes, but these would not be classified as "damage." You may be painting a picture of addiction, not actual damage -- this could be better addressed by a professional evaluation.

my right corner of my brain has been tingling like when you hit a funny bone. i've been just out of it and low energy. what is it?

A pinched nerve.: Most likely your symptoms are due to a pinched nerve in your scalp.  The back of your head is innervated  by the first two sensory cervical nerve roots and have been compressed by minor trauma or muscle spasm. This can be easily determined by seeing your physician.

See your PCP: Your symptoms could be due to a lot of problems such as thyroid disease, a chronic infection anywhere in your body,  a chronic respiratory disease. You need to see your pcp to rule these problems out. The chronic tiredness could also be due to depression associated with your physical distress. The sooner you can find the reason, the better. Good luck.

Accepted Answer

Probably not: There is however, a medical food, axona, which uses ketone bodies as a fuel to substitute for abnormal glucose metabolism.  Coconut oil is not known to have benefit in alzh pts.

Accepted Answer

Retiring after: Eating  is not likely to cause stomach cancer.
