Not the key: As a pathologist and lab specialist, I would discourage you from paying any attention at all to percentages, or to monocytes unless the absolute count is well over 1000. Sounds like a JRA variant if it is clear there is no heart defect or endocarditis

Tropical disease?: Complex issue that needs medical attention asap. Could be a tropical infectious disease from a variety of bacteria or parasites. Or die thug as simple as a food borne illness. If the local medical care is inadequate, you'll have to go to either a larger city, or back to the US. There's probably some expats there that could help find a good medical facility. If you had  Lyme disease and we  would to know the findings at that time and If you had  appropriate  antibiotics   you should be fine BUT if you were  reinfected then you could have  Lyme disease.

Your  physician will be able to test  lab test to help clarify. There  may be  many other diagnoses so you need  an evaluation.

Often misdiagnosed: You should see your doctor and discuss this. Just because you have made antibodies against rmsf bacteria in the past, it doesn&#x27;t mean you are currently infected with it--particularly if it was correctly diagnosed and treated in the past.  Flu-like symptoms and joint pain are very common with many types of common viral infections. My guess is that it is most likely not rmsf, but see your doctor.

For example, some autoimmune disorders cause arthritis and urethritis.

Hard to say: we would certainly consider a combination of problems. We see this sometimes and people who have fibromyalgia and you can discuss this possibility with your physician. The nausea maybe from some other process . I would discuss the possibility with your physician that the joint pain may actually be musculoskeletal pain from widespread myofascial pain that we see in fibromyalgia.
