Which area?: Do you mean the area involving the injected site or the entire body?  If the entire body, this may be from hyperventilation since high cortisone dose may cause anxiety and insomnia.  If this is the case, it will fade in a couple of days .  If the problem persists &gt;48 hrs or gets worse, contact the doctor who gave you the injection.

does lexpro help with pain? i just switched from prozac to lexapro (escitalopram) and had no idea some antidepressants helped with pain. i have terrible joint pain and numbness. thank you!

It can: Depression can magnify pain symptoms and chronic pain can lead to depression.  There are several types of drug categories that are used to help control pain including antidepressants.

Neurologist: Numbness in both legs on and off May relate to spinal cord problems and I recommend a consultation with a neurologist who will perform a neurologic examination and order any appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis.

See a Rheumatologist: If you are having symptoms in multiple joints, it may be a sign of a systemic condition such as rheumatoid arthritis.  A good place to start an evaluation is a consult with a rheumatologist.  They can help with diagnosis and treatment options.

Neuropathy: What you described suggests peripheral neuropathy. You should see your doctor for an evaluation and among other things get tested for diabetes. In the meantime take multivitamins, in case it is due to vitamin deficiency.

Elevated CRP: An elevate  CRP is a marker of systemic inflammation.  It may be in a number of diseases. When this occurs in the setting of joint pain, we want to make sure there are no signs of arthritis or other joint disease. I recommend seeing a rheumatologist and would be happy to do a consult if needed.

? Fibromyalgia: 29y female with chronic "undiagnosed joint pain &amp; numbness" hopefully saw Rheumatologist to be evaluated for fibromyalgia. New onset headaches are compatible with Fibromyalgia, but they first need to be evaluated, by a Neurologist, to rule out other causes such as tumors, migraines, autoimmune problems, hypertension, etc.
