A member asked:

Is numbness and pins and needles normal after a cortisone injection (scapholunate joint for synovitis)? thanks

Dr. John Chiu answered

Which area?: Do you mean the area involving the injected site or the entire body? If the entire body, this may be from hyperventilation since high cortisone dose may cause anxiety and insomnia. If this is the case, it will fade in a couple of days . If the problem persists >48 hrs or gets worse, contact the doctor who gave you the injection.
