Itchy Rash: Itchy red rash on this young toddler may indicate a form of contact dermatitis. Some children may precede with a red rash to their extremities as a sign of a viral infection . I suggest you inform your child's pediatrician. I would also suggest you check child's temperature and look at other areas on the body for rash and child's oral cavity for sores or inflammation.

There is medication to ameliorate the outbreak, but must be started with alacrity.  See a primary care physician. It might be best to have evaluation and differential diagnosis initiated today.

Ck your post op meds: If you have palmer rash from post-op, and were placed on antibiotics, or other meds, you must consider if this could be a possibility or not. In either case, contact your foot doctor, or surgeon, and let her/him know about it, so they can advise you further. This is best done in person. You don't want this getting out of hand, and compromising your health.
