Rule Out Shingles: Middle age man with "itchy, blistery, hot rash, size of palm" and which evolved over "about 12 hours" could have shingles (herpes zoster). There is medication to ameliorate the outbreak, but must be started with alacrity. See a primary care physician. It might be best to have evaluation and differential diagnosis initiated today.
