Athletes foot: You may have athletes foot extending from your toes to the top of your feet  and ankles. Check with a dermatologist for a definitive diagnosis.

Many things: Localized itchy rashes are usually do to dermatitis (from plant or chemical), insect bites (such as fleas) or eczema.  A description of the rash would be helpful.  In the interim, itchy skin rashes not associated with other symptoms usually respond well to topical steroids such as 1% hydrocortisone.

i have spotty rashes (dots) on the back of both of my legs, between my ankle and my calf. it is not itchy or bumpy.  any ideas?

See your MD: Rashes are difficult to assess without visualizing the affected area.  You should see your physician or a dermatologist.

It could be : A bad itchy rash, it could be a fungal infection, it could be poison ivy if you happened to step in some..
Since we can't see it, it is hard to guess. You can try applying a topical stead as a first line of defense, if no improvement see a doctor.

Rash: You could try applying a topical steroid such as Hydrocortisone to the area.  If it doesn't improve, you might want to consider getting evaluated.  Dermatologists can prescribe stronger topical steroids than what you can get over the counter.

i have a horrible rash on my left ankle. i'm not sure what caused it to appear but i has progressively gotten worse. it's itchy and painful?

Cellulitis?: If the skin is red and sore to touch, and there is no rash on the other ankle or elsewhere on the body, I would worry you have cellulitis, a skin infection. You may need an antibiotic prescription. See a doctor soon; do it immediately if the redness is rapidly spreding, if any red streaks up the leg, or if you have fever. Good luck!

Itch: An itchy region without a rash may be caused by a patch of dry skin, slight irritability/inflammation of superficial nerves or a low grade allergic reaction or irritation from clothing or friction. Applying a cortisone type ointment to that itchy patch.

Hypothyroidism: can cause this due to dry skin and other factors, hydrate yourself well, moisturize your skin after bathing with cream soap, revisit your doctor for re-evaluation, good luck

That's a long time: Not to have a diagnosis. General rule of thumb is that if you try a treatment and it doesn't work, you can try another or you might of had the wrong diagnosis. With a rash, a simple biopsy of the tissue will help arrive at the correct diagnosis.
