Planks: Try planks. You hold yourself as if you were going to do push ups but don't go down. Hold as long as you can, then you can work on side planks to define the obliques.

Depends...: Depends on which muscle (or group of muscles) you pulled, how deep they are, and how badly injured they may be. No hernia found, right?  If you think you're ready to try again, start exercising slowly and stop when your abdomen starts hurting.  Don't push it, or you may further injury the muscle & delay your recovery.

Neurosurgeon could: Depending on the type and location of biopsy required, neurosurgeons can perform these.  Also, either a general surgeon or orthopedic surgeon could as well.

i'm asking the question because i have been diagnosed with ms. test balance, nerve conduction, muscle all were negative. doctor's 2 have said no ms?

MRI and LP: Confirming the diagnosis of MS can sometimes be challenging.  It is important to start with MRI of the brain and cervical spine, and if there is anything abnormal on the MRI, then sometimes we get a lumbar puncture to look for specific proteins and help confirm the diagnosis.  Sometimes we still don't know and have to wait 6-12 months and repeat the MRI for comparison and to look for progression.

muscle biopsy of my tricep says chronic denervation and reinnervation, pyknotic nuclear clumps, angular atrophic fibers. my doctor says its caused by c6 nerve compression, is this possible?
