Neutral mostly: Popcorn is typically relatively high in fiber which might be a good thing re: polyps (controversial point). Populations with hi fiber intake tend to low polyp prevalence- not neccessarily the case for individuals. If popcorn is high fat, or sugary, cheesy, etc, then those factors don'thelp polyps, may worsen weight, lipids, etc. Popcorn does not cause or prevent polyps.

How was diagnosed?: By intestinal fluid culture or by the hydrogen breath test? If diagnosed how was treated? Antibiotic and/or probiotics? The recommended diet is a low carbohydrate. Avoid starches, sugars, gluten and gut irritants like grains, legumes, nuts, caffeine, alcohol, artificial sweeteners and process ingredients. A naturopathic physician could help you the best. I will avoid popcorn and rice.

Only when greasy: It would be the fat in popcorn which worsens reflux and not the popcorn per se unless you are eating buckets of them at a time. Smaller meals usually work better.

Yes! Get it removed!: Asbestos, i'm afraid, was commonly used in those ceilings. To be sure, you can send a sample to a testing company (it costs about $100 to test a whole house).  If it's there, get the ceiling removed professionally, don't do it yourself! scraping that junk off stirs up lots of dust and you could breathe it in. If your ceiling tests asbestos-free, it's safe.

Hello, : Hello, if it is microwave popcorn, it could contain a chemical is called diacetyl which makes it taste buttery. Inhaling large amounts of this has caused lung problems in pop corn factory workers  as well as high consumers of popcorn.   The popcorn kernels and hulls can cause problems with people who have diverticulosis as well as getting caught in braces  and causing problem with teeth and dentures.
