i take atenelol 25mg 2x a day and citalopram hbr10mg 1x a day.  can i have a little scotch or  is red wine safer?

is it safe to have 1-2 glasses of red wine if i took .5mg of ativan (lorazepam) on both sun. and mon. (so 72 hrs ago)? hadn't taken it for months before then.

Yes: the Ativan (lorazepam) will have worn off and should not be a problem.

You must eat Protein: If you are not eating a majority of your calories as proteins then you are not eating healthy. You've got the low calorie diet down, but you need proteins to keep your hormones, muscles and immune system strong.

Thank you for informing about using Celexa (citalopram), (citalopram) medication for Depression.
Using 4+ liters of water/day, 2 glasses of red wine every day, water in the vegetables, fruits, milk, juices; and use of Celexa (citalopram) can cause Low Sodium (Hyponatremia). See Physician for Diagnosis and treatment.

after drinking 3 glasses of red wine...im.starting to have like a panic attack...i became anxious..i can't sleep..is it safe to take .25 mg of lorazepa?

No: Lorazepam, a sedating benzodiazepine, should not be taken on the same day that alcohol is ingested.  Both of these substances add to one's sedation, and the combined effects can be dangerous.  You should consider that alcohol consumption can seem to aid panic, but in the long run its consumption can aggravate and even produce panic symptoms.  Stop drinking and get into counselling treatment.

is it safe to have an occasional 1-2 glasses of red wine while taking lexapro (escitalopram) 5mg for ocd? my doc says yes, others say no... no other meds.

It is safe.: it is safe. The question is whether your dose is Lexapro (escitalopram) is doing anything useful for you, since, for OCD, most people will require over 40 mg.

Anti-oxidants: In general you should eat more vegetables if you have cancer. Vegetables have anti-oxidant properties that in some studies have been shown to be beneficial for retarding cancer growth. Avoid any food with high fat or sugar content. Cancer cells thrive on these and can grow faster.

No: The active ingredient in red wine is Resvatrol, which comes from grape skin, This is what is touted to give red wine its antioxidant health benefits. Alcohol is a toxin to the liver. The damage done by the alcohol in red wine far outweighs any health benefits from its antioxidants.Therefore I cannot recommend red wine as anything that is beneficial to your health.  Get a resvatrol supplement.

It contains resveratrol which has been linked to numerous health benefits including: prevention against cardiovascular disease, maintaining memory and preventing dementia, improving sleep, helping fight against cholesterol.
