Other calcium source: Either try flavoring the milk with chocolate or strawberry flavor and if it does not work do not worry.  Try other calcium sources like yogurt, cheese, orange juice, broccoli.

See a pediatrician: And do this asap.  Bone pain in a child this age can (although not always) suggest some very severe and rapidly progressive conditions in association with fever.  Do not ignore this.  Go and see somebody now.  Hope he is better soon.

The most common type of mouth infection can cause blisters and ulcers in the mouth which make it very painful to eat or drink. When this happens, young children can easily get dehydrated. Another possibility would be strept throat, but your doctor would need to check him to find out.

The cough is likely unrelated &amp; something that will just need to self heal over time. Cough is a natural protective response in the lung that helps bring up debris from deep sites. When healed, it fades.

: I consider it a poor source of fluids for toddlers. It has too much sugar and the electrolyte blend made for adults. I consider use in that age group inappropriate. Yes it can lead to problems.
