i have one small red bump in the area at the bottom of my mouth where my gums meet my lip, right in the middle. it has a white pimple-looking head on it. it is causing me pain throughout my mouth and burns whenever i eat/drink. what could it be?

It sounds like u r: describing a pustule which could be associated with an underlying abscess.This would require proper antibiotics and possible surgical drainage.Go c ur dentist.There r other painful mouth/gum lesions possible,but the one above must be ruled out.

: Did you have a throat culture to check for strep?  Was your eardrum examined and, if so ,was it inflamed?. I think your jaw,ear discomfort could be referred from an inflamed throat or it could be an infected ear drum. Strep throat, &amp; ear drum infections,if present, require oral antibiotics. Discuss your ongoing symptoms with your physician who may want to examine you again.

after a revision of a scar what can i eat for the redness to fade?

Diet not the issue..: I am not aware of any specific food that will help fade a scar...It can take 6-12 months or more for the redness to fade away. The most important step to take while the scar is still red is sun avoidance: an immature scar will burn easily and, if tanned, may tan permanently. Products like Mederma may hasten the maturation of scars as well.

second toe of right foot has been numb for 5 months. only on the top between the nail and where the toe meets foot.  that toe is longer than the others. i used to have on-off pain in that area. no redness/swelling. i walk 6 miles/day. ideas?

Palate burn: It sounds like you burned the roof of your mouth, and now it is blistered and inflamed. Ibuprofen and a cool icey beverage may help with symptoms. Most burns or mouth ulcers take 7-14 days to heal and can be quite painful. Sometimes doctors write a "magic mouthwash" with topical viscous lidocaine, prednisolone, etc to help with symptoms. See an ENT or primary doctor if symptoms persist.

NSAID: I see you take Advil - does it help? Your symptoms are consistent with costochondritis, a form of arthritis which is best treated with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug like Advil. Naproxen, which is much longer acting is an alternative .Be sure you're using an adequate dose: 400-800 mg of Advil very 4-6 hours or Aleve (naproxen) 2 tabs with food every 8-12 hours. Physical therapy can also help.

i have tongue weakness, find it hard to eat, swollow and speak can hardly move it around. but it looks normal no redness, not sore or swollen?
