Fda classified Bentyl as type b drug, meaning effects of Bentyl on an unborn child has not been studied extensively. Bentyl should only be used during pregnancy if clearly needed. Notify prescribing doc if you become pregnant. Bentyl does pass into breast milk.

Yes, but: what are you treating?  Bisacodyl is a laxative.  Bentyl (dicyclomine) is an antispasmodic.  To some extent the laxative would cause cramps to cause a movement and ease constipation.  If this is your primary problem then you should just take the laxative.  If cramps is the primary problem and you are not constipated, you don't need a laxative.
